Billie Marten, born Isabella Sophie Tweddle on May 27, 1999, hails from Ripon, North Yorkshire, England. Her musical journey began in her early teens, as she started playing the guitar and crafting her own songs. Despite her youth, Marten’s hauntingly beautiful vocals and introspective songwriting quickly garnered attention. Her debut EP, “Ribbon,” recorded when she was just twelve, marked the start of her professional career. Drawing inspiration from her folk-loving parents, Marten’s music exhibited a maturity beyond her years. Her debut album, “Writing of Blues and Yellows,” released in 2016, further solidified her reputation as a remarkable talent, blending folk, indie, and singer-songwriter elements.

Her second album, “Feeding Seahorses by Hand,” released in 2019, showcased her growth as an artist with a more expansive sound.
